Had a 2014 Harley 883 sportster for a year that wasn't meeting my desire for excitement. I was glad to find the Ninja 650 as it has a very comfortable riding position, smooth shifting and all around terror free ride. The acceleration is exactly what I was ... looking for. It is very quiet so plan on upgrading your exhaust. Handles great on twisties and is just an all around pleasure to ride. The ride is very comfortable and it accelerates like nothing I've ever owned. I had a Harley soft tail standard before and an Intruder 800. Rode others; Honda's, etc. This is really the first sport type bike. And what an introduc... tion. The bike in nimble, fast through the gears, and brakes very well, even w/o the ABS. Great in the 60 to 80 range too. Don't evev need to shit out of 6th to pass, but it's more fun if you do. Transmission is very smooth and the engine has loads of power.
